I go here: http://mobile.google.com/calendar/index.html login, and then I can see upcoming events, and add events to my default calendar. I can even change which calendars I'm viewing. Definitely something worth checking out. You can somewhat view the calendar in terms of upcoming events. It lists a number of events coming up.
