Anyone Get the $100 Gift Card?

Just wondering if anyone out there actually got the $100 gift card that T-Mobile said they would be sending out to people that “have experienced a significant and permanent loss of personal content”. If you lost your data and got a $100 gift card, let us know in the comments!

      Once I lost all my data, and I called t-mobile and saw info from HipTop3 about us getting the $100 gift card. I never did get it and I’m hoping we do get it.

      I received the credit after speaking with executive response during the middle of the outage. This was after I switched to a discounted G1 and the $100 credit went straight to my bill.

      I think I’ve called t-mobile everyday for the last week about this. They just say “effected customers” have received a letter. They won’t tell me if I qualify. I’ve begged for a yes or no answer but they can’t give me one. Its so frustrating. I’m like pleeeease just tell me YES I’m getting it or NO I’m not.

      my contants been gone since Oct.9 I’ve called back & fourt & all I got was a $10 credit they tmobile say they gave me a extra $20 but im not sure. Then cc told me a few weeks ago that I wasn’t gone get $100 but they told me they mail $50 to me Nov6 AND I NEVER GOT IT! Tmobile is full of lies! I been w/them for 6years & had every sk & this the thanx I get! I want to sue or atleats get any phone I want for free!

      Hell naw. I aint get ****. Then on top off that we called to get unlimited talk text and web, the tmobile rep told us our bill will go from 154 to 148 for all 3 lines. We like cool that’s good because we were paying for 1,000 minutes. Then I get a text saying my bill is 221. Im like wtf??? So now tmobile is working on getting our old plan back the $20 sidekick plan and the $69.99 for the thousand minutes. the rep is going to be calling us in Janurary to let us no if they were able to recover our old plan.They need to get there **** 2gether.

But yet im of the people who lost everything on this crappy *** phone and still have not gotten half of it back.So now im looking to sell this one and get either the new Blackberry or the MyTouch or the Qlick

      Either way I rather they recover all my info instead of them trying to buy me off with $100 so I can forget bout it.

      We’re not getting $100–it’s only $50.

      I spoke to Tmo today. There’s no timeframe as when we’re supposed to get our compensation, but that’s not the $100 like first promised. They’re only issuing $50 gift cards (strange that Tmo never officially announced they reduced the payout after loudly proclaimed everyone would get $100–almost like they’re hiding something). That’s right–we’re only getting 50 bucks after being promised 100. People need to call Tmo, yell, scream, and cut lose on helpless operators. They can’t promise people money and take it away. I bought a new phone because I thought I was getting $100.

      This situation is still a total mess and Tmo still doesn’t know what the frick they’re doing. I don’t blame Tmo for the outage ’cause shite happens–but I certainly blame them for the way they tried to resolve it.

      I lost about 25% of my contacts, then my voicemail system was down for 3 weeks. I called several time and tried to get this fixed, but they got it working again. So last week when my bill was due I called t-mobile and told them I “accidently” lost all of there money for the bill this month and that I should have it back soon. And I just asked how they expected me to pay my bill for the last 4 weeks when I didn’t have the internet for a week. My contacts for several weeks and my voicemail down for 3 weeks. They said I still had to pay then I told them I wanted 2 talk to someone about canceling my contract

      When I talk to the guy I asked about the $100 thing and he said since I got back most of my contacts that I could not get the money. I asked him why I should stay with t-mobile for another 4 years if every time they mess up I loose money and data and they don’t do anything to fix there own mess. He asked if a month of service for free would make me happy. So I took it. and only had to pay the data for this month since I got the data free last month

      I got my data plan lowered to $19.99 and i get a new customers upgrade to any phone I want that comes out in the future so I’m happy with what i got

      Me 2. They didnt let me have it discounted or anything. I would either have to wait till next may to leave tmobile or get the new blackberry 9700 and extend my contract

      I got my $50 card today and want to use it towards my LAST t-mobile bill which also came this week (I’ve moved on to an iPhone). However, I am having lots of trouble “activating” the card they sent – when I call the activation number, a recording tells me the system is down…

      Also, I can no longer log onto my t-mobile account online to PAY my last bill with the gift card because they cancel your online account after you leave t-mobile. I guess that sort of makes sense, but it is causing me lots of trouble trying to figure out how to use this gift card on my bill. Guess I have to call.

      There’s plenty of people out of their 20’s and in their 30’s and out of college with sidekicks.
      Im 28, out of college and I own and have owned a sidekick since it came out.

      i called customer care and told them i wanted to cancel my plan (although i had no intention of cancelling my plan) and was connected to customer loyalty. i told him how i lost ALL of my contacts etcetc and he offered me any tmobile phone at upgrade price plus $100 off my next bill plus the $50 dollar appreciation card from danger/microsoft. so i got the Cliq for $50 dollars essentially, AND i convinced them to not renew my contract. so i got away with a pretty good deal. my advice is just to ***** at them until the secede. (ps i got the sidekick data plan DURING the otuage so i never even really had contacts …ha)

      Called t-mo to ask where it was today. A week ago I was told they were going to make sure my name was on the list. Today, even though been a sidekick customer for 2 years, I get nothing. I needed to switch to a smartphone plan for a couple weeks, and I didn’t have the sidekick data on on day 1 of meltdown. As everyone knows all your info is stored for 3 months during inactivity. Anyways, all of my data was lost. Contacts, pictures, bookmarks, ect. She also went on to say that the credit I recieved, because up until a week and a half ago, they still couldnt get my internet working, should not even be there.

      To me the cliq is worth it. If by any reason the sidekick would go down the drain the cliq is the only other device I would consider getting.

      And by the way the droid is not from tmo. Its from let me have both arms, legs with the bill “verizon”.
      IMO the droid looks lame.

      I called and got $100 applied to my bill. All together I’ve gotten:

      * The $20 data credit
      * An early 2-yr renewal (for a mytouch)
      * $15 credit toward the new data plan for 3 months
      * $100 applied directly to my bill

      I refused to take no for an answer and if I didn’t get an answer I liked, I called back later and spoke to someone else.

      There are times I REALLY miss my ‘kick (like now when the damn soft keyboard won’t keep up with me), but I do admit I like the mytouch. Besides, I can go back to the ‘kick if I want to – still have it. I’m just afraid microsoft will drool again and I’ll lose my stuff. If I do go back to the ‘kick, you can bet all my contacts will be backed up on this phone. Heck, I might still carry it around for the GPS and to watch my podcasts on.

      And, I have to admit, I’ve coveted visual voicemail since the concept was first unveiled.

      I want to add that I never raised my voice or sounded angry at the reps (this makes them happier to help you). I also made it clear that I was happy with T-Mobile, frustrated with microsoft and just wanted to get back to the care-free use I had with my ‘kick.

      It helps that the 2nd person I talked to about my new phone and package told me I’d be receiving the $100 (ALWAYS verify they put something they say like that in writting in the notes of your account).

      i got a $50 one in the mail to day and got the 30 dollar credit to my account. i was barely affected with the outage. like yea i couldnt use my phone for like a weekend and i was scared to death to turn my phone off or let it die, but i didnt lose any contacts, or bookmarks.

      I recieved a $50 gift card that I can’t even figure out how to use. I had no problem activating it but I tried to use it toward my bill online and it didn’t work, I called customer care and they said that I had to go into a store….bs. It clearly states on the back of the card that I can use the card online, in store or over the phone. These people are giving me the run around with this card and I doubt that they ever really intended on these cards working for the customers. My contract ends at the end of the month and I have just started working for Verizon, so guess where my business is going.

      Join the network with the best coverge people and the least amount of losses!!

      I still don’t have all of my contacts, photos, notes, etc. TMobile is full of sh*t.

      Honestly I don’t see what the big deal is if you can use it online or not. I just put mine on my bill when I paid it yesterday at the mall, I’m still $50 up in cash for the holiday, so is anyone who wants to be. You can then use your own credit/debit card(s) for whatever after that, and your still $50 up ether way. Any situation can be a challenge or a problem depending on how hard a** you choose to be. Unless one physically can’t leave their home, I don’t understand the problem.

      I lost over 300 bookmarks,248 contacts. And couldn’t use any of my 18 ringtones and some of the 24 apps for I do not know how long. I got a $50 credit with deducting my net. Fee wich I couldn’t use anyway.
      I was very disapointed considering I’ve had 4 diferent Sidekicks over 3yrs.

      Hahaha the outage has saved me a lot of money. Im a prepaid sidekick user. I’ve gotten 99 percent of everything back. About a week after the outage I called tmo and told them wtf is going on, they credited my account 50 bucks. Well its dec 9th now and everytime I run out of minute I just call and ***** them out about the outage andthey credit my account 10 bucks. I havnt paid tmobile a dollar since oct 9th 2009. Oh they also sent me a brand new sk08 tmobile is full of clowns

      In regards to the comment about youngsters having sidekicks…you can kill it skillet, i’m 48 years old and have had a sidekick since conception. I can use it just as well as any kid can and better, plus know the tricks. Whats funny is the look on kids faces when they see me pull it out text my *** off as if I was a kid, plus use the auto text with symbols to send letter pictures in aim. Its a mini computer.. In regards to the rebate i haven’t recieved anything no letter, no 50 bucks, no 100 bucks nothing and i was without the internet and downloads for quite awhile. Will be getting a second line as i’m not on a contract with them right now.
