WTF man, im a loyal user since the 2, this phone used to be amazing, iv always been on the sidekicks side thinking this year it will finally get allot better and up to date, but naa their lagging, and im about to be done with sidekicks. this phone just is the last straw.

My initial thought was to wait until I could actually mess with the LX 09 in person, but now I’m thinking that I won’t be getting it and will probably be switching to a G1. I really don’t want to, I love my sidekick and have been a loyal user since 05, but the fact that it is still closed source and we will have to pay for everything, well for appz and games, since there is a crappy ringtone recorder function, but we will still have to pay for these things, and the prices are steadily increasing-this is what is going to make me switch. I don’t really care about a touchscreen, but the free ringtones, apps, games on the G1 is going to make me switch. My sister just switched to a G1, and I just set it up for her, put her music and pictures on it, downloaded games and apps for free, man it’s just better, it pains me to admit that. I have an upgrade coming up in September, but I’m probably not going to wait. I think I’m gonna go get a G1 next weekend, so I can sell my LX before the LX 09 comes. Man, I really don’t want to, but the Sidekicks are not advancing enough in comparison for phones that are out and are the same price or cheaper. The G2 not having a keyboard is a deal breaker for me as well, so I’m going to go for the G1. Man and I’m gonna have to pay $35 for data.

My sis got the hook up on her G1 and the guy who did said that there is a touchscreen sidekick that is going to be released at the earliest in Dec of this year. I don’t know how accurate this is, but I figured I should just throw out there.

Michael Wilson,if you read my previous post above explaining those who already own sidekicks don’t have to change their plans.

If you’re due for a new contract yes then you re-new it but if you don’t need to then you’ll pay full price-I know sucks and no longer 1 yr contracts.

All data plans are the same for g1’s,behold,memoir,etc..will use the 2 plans including the sidekick for newer customers buying it(older customers too who never had one,like me.)

With BB’s if you’re a professional and you want more data with it you’ll pay more than the 2 data plans.

The sale starts today until May 12th for regular loyal customers with a 2 yr contract.

Now don’t forget about the $18 upgrade charge-sucks for us but it’s for any upgrades unless you could sweet talk them,lol..

Michael,I hope this gives you a clear understanding of it all.

Regular price is $449.99 then to $249.99 to $199.99 with $50 rebate master/visa card-ooo,lol takes up to 8 weeks ain’t that some funny ****.

Where is the “Wish i could but to update to the New sidekick will cost me 419.99″ option. T-mobile is ridiculous the plans should not be 2 years and there is no way i should be beaten over the head with the price of this phone. Not only do they raise the price of the sidekick data plan which i will probably have to get if i upgrade my sidekick, they want to charge me what will be around 500 dollars after taxes. I wonder if the G1 plan is cheaper

After looking at the pics it seems like the 09 is gonna be locked down by the catalog like the rest of the sk’s. They may give you some up to date apps but i’m pretty sure it will be one of those monthly apps you cant buy but keep paying for it. paying for youtube, twitter, myspace and facebook each month can cost alot.

Also it looks like the only theme you can customize is the jump screen after that, any other screen will look like a basic lx or 08. I would like to see actual moving graphics when you get a text message or call instead of the tmobile intro it has when you first turn it on… Does this have mood lights like the lx?

To those who already have the older sidekick plans you won’t be forced to change it to the newer data plans unless you want to.

Those who are getting the new sidekick as a new or old customer will pay for the data plans $24.99-$34.99.

Those who own BB’s and want professional email and so on will pay more for their plan unless you don’t go pro,you’ll pay for the price above.

So far TMO reps,do know now about the new sidekick but they only know what we know now.

I also ask if we will be able to use Windows Mobile’s free apps since they brought Danger,they said good question on that one.We shall see soon if can or can’t.

You would be a fool to buy this phone. It has no amazing features at all. Its like an sk08 with a tad of new features. A waste of money. Get it if you want but its not going to be worth it. I can already feel it.

im probablly one of the hugest sidekick lovers
i had a 08,slide,lx and hopefully i get the 09

i’ve already saved more than enough for the “kick”
soo first day!!
ill be transfering from a 08 to a 09!!!!!

but they should make more ways of protecting ur valueable “kick”
with more cases,protecters,e.t.c…

but yeah
im always checking this site daily
so keep up the good posting!!!
