Project Pink would be interesting if it actually offered anything different.
From the mock up OS that looks sorta like a Zune, but not quite to the lackluster hardware my interest is gone. While I’m all for a Zune Phone, this seems to be an OS that interfaces with absolutely nothing (basically the evolution of the Sidekick interface).
While that sounds good on paper, having to pay to sync contacts to a program owned by the parent company is stupid. Same with not being able to run 3rd party apps.
Pink seems like Microsoft’s “dumphone” product line or an intermediary between Windows Mobile versions.

google bought android, it was not made by the former Danger guys. They just went to something THEY thought was better for them since the sidekick was finished with. The Danger guys needed a job one way or another

First of all, I stopped caring about sidekick after M$ started the UGLIEST and disgusted pink project due to the “sidekick killer”, however, it will also suicide itself project.
Second of all, if sidekick is discontinue then Im getting DROID since i careless about sidekick anymore. Thank to you, M$, for killing our hopes and our loyalty, unfortunate for both of us.

Tmobile is doing a good thing by ending sidekick service, and why? because its old and no longer their focus point. tmobile use to make a killing on the sidekick brand. but after a few incidents, now its no longer their focus point and perhaps not marketable for them. now you guys actually have a reason to mature and get yourself a REAL smartphone, not a childish smartphone ( if you can even call it a smartphone) that only implemented minor upgrades inbetween models and priced at ridiculous prices. Now you guys can actually get a blackberry and see what the sidekick should have been. i had a sidekick 2, 3 and LX and then left for a blackberry.
