The next Sidekick ID?
Some keen eyes have spotted what may be an icon for the next Sidekick ID in the Catalog. On the Sidekick LX, if you go into the Theme section of the catalog and look at the newest themes, you’ll see that the phone icon is different. (Or if you don’t want to open the catalog, compare the phone icon in the first image above to the familiar icon in the second one) It’s yellow around the edges as if it has bumpers, but it has a wider screen than the normal SKiD, one that looks more like a Sidekick LX screen. My first thought was, it’s just an LX with yellow plastic pieces. But if you look close enough (I know, we’re examining like 10 pixels) you can see that the yellow part does not match up where you would replace the pieces on a Sidekick LX. Could we be seeing a new version of the Sidekick iD coming out soon? Did someone slip up and take screenshots on a new iD since it would have the same resolution as the LX if it was sharing a theme? We’ll let you guys know what we find.

Either the pic above is a fake OR tmo/danger (who ever) removed the above theme cause I looked thru EVERY theme and found nothing like it Nor did I even find that theme

The theme is called Attack Pilot Theme. I see it in New & Hot on my LX

Actually the pic aint fake cuz it seems all the new themes have the yellow icon and not the old themes have it just shows the reg icon so who knows

How come the themes all have the icons in a different order that on the real phone. Web is under phone on my Lx, and the email is above im. Can u change the order of them?

Well the icons are from the simulator that is made for the developers that use it for themes, apps, and games…
Even though it does seem odd that the iD version has the simulator icon arrangement, but has a myfaves icon too… so that may be a sign that its a live model, obviously because it has that tmobile specific icon… But then again, under phone, it doesnt say tmobile (which then again again is easy to remove in photoshop) :O

Well i do think there is another sidekick ID on the way because it was pulled off the sidekick.com site.

Personally, I like the sidekick id. I own one just cause I won all the sidekick models but I don’t use it, I would never use a id over my lx. But I do think it is good for those out there who can’t afford a lx or slide [lx is better then the slide!!]. And I’m glad it will have the upgraded screen and hopefully edge. So I’m happy with a new model of the id’s.
