I STRONGLY agree… mine has all sorts of issues. I reported it defective to T-Mobile, and they won’t even warranty one out to me. My only option is to return it TODAY (as it’s my 14th day), and get a new one… after it goes on backorder, and whatnot. It’s ****

I’m reposting this here because I think it’s important and it might help a few people.
This message is particularly for timebomb and don7juan84real :
I had the same problem as you two (I was charging it off and the battery symbol never stopped flashing to indicate that it was done). But I read that you should charge the SK3 WHILE IT IS ON. In fact, from what I hear, MOST battery problems have been resolved after people started to charge their device while it is ON. I’m not sure why you have to do this but it has something to do with electrical currents and such. Anyway, it worked for me and lots of others. So drain your batteries people, plug it in while your SK3 is ON, leave it alone or 4 hours or so and it should be good as new. Which it should be considering the fact that it IS new lol Good luck!

tmobile ****** sux. i went to get the sk3 today and they told me i had no credit so i had a limit. No problem with that, cuz ill take what i can get. Then they tell me I can get the voice plan, but not the data plan. WHY IN THE **** WOULD I GET THE PHONE WITHOUT THE DATA PLAN?!?! And what kinda messed up **** is this? Why would they make it so you can get the phone and service, but not the data plan. Screw it, I waited 3 months for it, now they won’t let me get data so I don’t want it

maybe this is what the admin was talking about in the previous blog entry.

While we can’t reveal these details due to the NDA agreement with Danger, we can say you guys will be very happy with the device within the next few months.”
august would qualify as the next few months, and maybe august will just be the first of the new funtionality things. then more eggs will reveal the next ones.

Rock N Shop is NOT what they are talking about for the August 11th thing. If you click on sidekick 3 events there are like 30 different things, why would they make us find eggs to tell us about one of the 30 events you could see anyway. I think on the 11th there is either going to be some update to the sidekick, or some other news. Or at the least its gana be more eggs or some **** hidden on the sidekick site.

Ive been thinking that too. However, if you look at a blog entry made by the admin about a week ago, he says that there is tons of funtionality that isnt even being taken advantage of yet, and that we should all be very happy with the device within the next few months. He couldnt say anything more because of a NDA with Danger. But looks to me like hes hinting at new features that will be coming within the next months.

nope.. its been locked up since 2002.. i dont think they would change the rules now.. it is kinda stupid, but how they have to try to keep the plan prices down, so they offer ringtones to be purchased asa way to help keep other costs down, also, you can make your own ringtones i do so believe, IF and only if u have a devlopers key, and a SDK. but good luck getting a key.. im working on a FM radio app. for the sk3 right now.. i hope it works!

just wanted to let everyone know the trouble i went threw to get my sidekick…… i went to 5 stores before i was allowed to buy one, im a tmobile event rep and i have a special account, so when i was willing to buy it for 400 dollars they all told me that because i work for them im not allowed to buy the phone yet, so i decided to get alittle creative when i got to the 4th location, i told them it was for my gf and that i dont even have tmobile serive and they refused to sell me one and the guy told me that he would have to charge me 499 for the phone while the sign on the window said it was 379.99 retail, so finally i woke up my friend that has tmobile and made him come with me to buy it for me. but honeslty it was all worth it i would never trade my sidekick for anything

This a question sort of out of the subject, I wonder if danger ever thought of putting the world clock on this phone….. in my case, I travel a whole lot and I’m in constan need of an alarm…yea the calendar application sort of works but c’mon…we r talking about basic **** here, other than the small glitches, I love my sk3, I just think that developers think so much about the complicated **** that they leave out the basic….I know its not an easy job but its not 1 person working on the thing
