It appears as if Telstra Mobile is also in the process of testing and getting ready to release the Zante down under.

Unconfirmed reports of Telstra trying to push out all remaining stock of Hiptop 3’s to make way for the new device, and a Mid November release date. Also unconfirmed reports of the Hiptop LX making an appearance down under sometime in December have trickled in via email.

These are photographs taken with the Sidekick LX, again by our favorite forum admin.

According to the accompanying blog post for these, these were taken in a complete pitch black room, standing about 4 feet away from the shelf… So it’s a really bright flash now. (Also, who knew he used purex?? :P)

The Boy Genius seems to be having a good time with their Sidekick LX. They’ve posted a gallery of OS screenshots, along with some new information.

Believe it or not, the shots we’re showing you actually look better on the device than they will here on your computer monitor (for the most part).

Also stated in the comments from BGR when asked about the Messaging limit and charging, they go on to say

Text messaging limit is still 100, but it looks like you can also save 30 messages on your memory card? It does charge via miniUSB cable, and the browser more or less is the same, but maybe a little quicker…

One can only assume the blurred text in the top Left corner just says Sonic Boom.

Boy Genius Report got their hands on their own Sidekick LX and have posted a gallery of images along with a Mini review.

“…the actual specs of the Sidekick LX have not drastically improved from the Sidekick 3, and a lot of naysayers have been ripping it a new you-know-what, but you really just have to use one yourself to appreciate it. It is definitely thinner and feels right when your typing, IMing, or MMSing on it. The speaker is ridiculously loud and clear, and the screen…wow. It’s just like the Sidekick Slide, except a whole lot bigger.”

Yes, the Sidekick LX has been confirmed by T-Mobile officially as well. Those of you that have been reading for the past few months won’t have any surprises.

Price: $299 with 2 year contract
Screen: 400×240 (high res 3″ screen)

OS: DangerOS v4.4

The Sidekick LX will be available on October 17th for current customers in an upgrade procedure similar to the one for the Sidekick 3. Everyone else will have to wait till October 24th to get theirs.

T-Mobile has gone all official with the Sidekick Slide (aka the Zante) finally. The price? A reasonable $199 with a 2 year contract. Official specs are no big surprise either:
