First Unboxing/Commercial of the Sidekick LX 2009
T-Mobile has just posted the first unboxing commercial for the Sidekick LX 2009 on their YouTube account. Unfortunately it doesn’t really show much of the device. Luckily Appletech comes through with a video for all of you that want to see what the device actually does. Check out his 7 minute video showing off the Sidekick LX 2009.

That commercial is pathetic. Its awful. Jesus christ I could do the same thing on my macbook. The internet looks slow. But that may be for a reason as to like not in a good service area. To me the browser looks better. The o.s is still the same. They barley changed anything. but I guess thats fine. But the internet (besides when the person went on youtube) looked dissapointing.

I heard tmo has slower 3g than the other carriers anyway, so slow(er) internet is expected. If u guys noticed, it looked as if the sk in the clip lost the 3g service and had to find it again. That takes time

It took like 45 seconds for re YouTube site to load. And then another 40 seconds for the video to buffer.
Don’t make excuses the kick had a good 3g signal. I think it had like 3 bars?
It’s ironic that appletech is a sidekick developer,(his name is apple tech). I bet my left testicle that he owns an iPhone. UGH. OMG. This is bullcrap, my account has 7 months left. T-Moble allows me to upgrade ONLY on the National release date. That’s Bull****! I’ve been an existing customer and my account doesn’t even allow me to upgrade, at all! I wanted that phone, NOW. But whatever, the only thing they are doing is giving me free EXPRESS shipping. -_-

Hey I have a question. My sidekick 2008 just crashed like all it shows is a white screen when I power it up and the date and time reset every time i turn it on.
I am under warranty but I heard that the service for that is bull. Do any of you guys think I could get the new LX for at least a lil cheaper after the release date instead of gettin a refurbished 08… cuz i don’t want another one.

The BBB can’t do ****. They can’t make T-Mobile offer you anything and more than likely T-Mobile will respond to your claim offering your free shipping once again and the BBB will close your claim finding that T-Mobile did their best to reconcile the situation. So I say be happy with the Free Express because they didn’t even allow that option on preorders.
You’ve obviously never developed for Danger or Apple. Apple’s developing process is no different trust me. You can get denied for the smallest thing. Having a good 3G signal doesn’t mean ****. I own an iPhone and an SK and I can have an excellent full bar 3G signal on my iPhone but it will tell me Safari can’t load the page because there is no connection or that Maps can’t load my map because it has no connection. Same with the G1. Get your facts straights. They are being logical not making excuses.
You want an LX you are going to have to pay for it. You people who keep trying to get something for nothing…STOP IT! They will send you either a new or refurb 08 (more than likely refurb). Now if you want to do an exchange, sell it on eBay, get what you can for it, and put the money towards a new LX by all means do so…nothing they can do it about it. But even if they were all sold out of 08s there is no way they are going to send you a $450 phone when they are selling the one you have right now for like $50. They would send you a phone of equal or lesser value but since there really is not phone of lesser value they would probably send you a check in the mail for the price of the phone if anything. I remember when my DWade broke and because they were all sold out they were trying to offer me a SK3 which was unacceptable for a phone that I had paid out the *** for.

ICON: You know, depending on which rep. you speak with, usually they will enable your account for an upgrade if you have served the 2/3 of the contract. As they did to me, and my largest concern was that as an existing customer, I was not allowed, AT ALL to upgrade my line. That is what I’ve been trying to say, T-Mobile’s website and their systems are denying me to upgrade, even if I have to pay $419.99. It wont even let me do that, that is what is upsetting me the most for the longest time.
I agree though, a lot of money is put into T-Mobile by consumers, and at times, they have sympathy. And thank you ICON for giving me the best of luck, I am curious how T-Mobile will handle my issue, again, to anyone curious, I will post back when they do respond. And I will let everyone know what happen.

yeah ICON I agree ive been a loyal customer for 8 yrs i feel like my loyality isnt work the money i have put out, i upgraded from sk to sk 2 to sk3 to a sk08 and very upset, no flash, i mean it was my fault i think a new phone would down grade but hey, im not impressed by the sk anymore. it sticks when im calling, it delay when im texting, & the kicker, having to pay for mobile to mobile when its free on other networks! it just plain pisses me off …. Im so fed up with the sidekick this video hasnt shown me anything new but more disappointment! as for greg ive thought about calling BBB on them as well, a few years ago i was charged overage mins on my account from calling the other number on my account, call me crazy but $367 in overage mins from calling nothing but my boyfriend under my account… that was plain unfair! since then i dont have to pay the stinking $6.99 which isnt a big deal but still it was the same account for goodness sake!… good luck with that!

sidekick orchid. This is how I feel about it…
I like how they calmed down on the flashy lights, it doesn’t look like a toy anymore..
Now, its more suitable for a girl. finally, the original lx was so masculine w/ the colors.. i like this orchid, purple’s my fav color. less urban for sure.
internet is internet, it’s def, faster, and with the youtube is bad ***.
The plan is great cause data is $20 for unlimited everything, idk bout you guys, my bill is 52 a month and that’s w/ a few themes and apps.. facebook and all that jazz no subscription fees!
The camera seems updated and with a unusual double flash, which you can tell is similar blackberry style now.
gps, nice touch.
i could say it’s just about time t-mobile’s sidekick has caught up with it’s competition. i’m finding new **** out about this device all the time. i mean most phones like iphone and blackberry’s are more advanced, sidekick is finally up there i’d like to say it’s worth 400 but i only spent 200 for it on ebay brandnew and just stuck in the sim card
vzw couldnt do that. sold my old lx 150 on craigslist. lol i’d personally invest in a iphone if i was about to drop almost half a g on a phone.
