Nationwide Outage for Sidekick Data Service

The reports are lighting up like a Christmas tree on SignalStrength and T-Mobile’s Customer Care confirmed that we are in the midst of a nationwide outage of the Sidekick Data service. It started late last night/early this morning and the 2-dots have been dancing all day long for everyone. So stop toggling airplane mode, put your Sidekick down, take a deep breath and relax. We’ll get through this together. T-Mobile didn’t give an estimated time of resolution, but said things should be fixed “shortly”. If it’s really impacting you, you might have some luck calling Customer Care and requesting a credit on your bill for the outage. Usually this will be in the form of free minutes or a $5 credit.

    Wow I haven’t been on this site in a while ! Its been too long. But anyways, yeaa I’ve been lol @ all of my friends that have sidekicks because they’re going crazy over not having any data services! I wouldve been pissed if I still had my sidekick (r.i.p. Sk3 and skLX 2007-2008)) lol, but im a proud blackberry owner, so I was just breezing through on my wen browser and aim w/ no problem, and boy were they cutting мε some dirty looks! Ha!

    Yeah, I knew it. It went off last night, I went to sleep, woke up and it was still out. So I called T Mobile, and they told me exactly what you just posted. They never know how long these things are gonna take. What has been going on, probably side effects of Danger about to be dismantled, hahaha. Something was going on with the Danger servers last week too, they weren’t pushing bookmarks, pic messages, saved RSS feeds, and other things, back to phones that had crashed, or in my case, I dropped it and the battery came out. It took days for everything to come back. I won’t be having a sidekick for much longer, so won’t have to deal with these outages much longer

    i just call tmobile and i cant believe what they just told me… they said they sold the sidekicks off to METRO PCS… call tmobile and ask for yourselves if you dont believe me…. they sed its goonna to take 2-3 months to put up extra intennnas for the sidekicks….

    Uhh. MetroPCS is CDMA… Sidekicks are GSM… In lamen terms, Square peg does not fit in Round hole.

    the outage is not affecting calls. its only affecting data. sk users are still able to receive call, text and even picture text.

    hey i cant get any emails or aim or internet but i can text for some reason, i need my email…so i go to tmobile and i try to sign in on the computer and click my interface desktop or whatever and it wont go there either, wtf is going on with that, im on a computer and i cant acces my tmail…is there a way to access new incoming mail without the phone ?

    OK I’m so glad I’m not the only having this issue. I tried everything they said in the email before I read email and laughed because hiptop3 knows sidekick users too well. I freaked out and thought it was something with my phone. Unfortunately my SKLX 09 crashed and I don’t have contacts as welll…well atleast until it can connect to server again. I’m glad to here danger/microsoft is finally sending out an OTA to fix the SKLX 09 because there are major issues with it. Thank you for finally hearing our cry.

    Danger is useless! Im on Telstra in Australia and we too have been having problems for a month now. You randomly lose data (that’s if you had it) and when you do MSN takes half an hour to sign in and the browser takes like 5 for google.

    Think its time to pay out this contract and go somewhere else!

    My contacts are fine, but I’ve been out of data service for over 24 hours now. Thank gods I can still get texts, otherwise I’d have forgotten all about good ol’ Hiptop3 here, because I get updates texted to me. “Nationwide SK outage” the text said, and I breathed a sigh of relief. I’d been just about to call Tmo and have their tech support see if it was my phone was the problem. I’d been toggling data on/off and soft resetting all day xD

    Well, in a way I cab relate. It doesn’t vibrate for me, but when I turn it on a volume level, it makes the PAC man noise (for text messages :P) just fine.

Forget about the rumored $5 credit they will give after this nightmare is over, I think only a $10-25 credit will suffice. So then I asked how much it will be to cancel my contract for T-Mobile, because I told her I am not paying for something that doesn’t work properly. She basically wouldn’t help me. And transferred me to the department to cancel my contract. I waited for about 15 minutes on hold, next thing I know the phone hangs up… I call again and the same thing happens!

    Similar thing happened to me, i called yesterday to get the 5 dollar credit (i got it), but then i saw today there was still not data service so i called again to cancel my contract an they transferred me to costumer loyalty dept. then it hung up, i called again an told them what happened so they credit me 19.99 for the month.

    I’m slowly going crazy without my data services. I hate never knowing who’s texting me and not being able to get in touch with anyone because my contacts are gone.     So, I went with my mom to the local T-Mobile earlier (not because of the data outage, she dropped her phone while it was on the charger and the charger broke inside of her phone) and I figured I’d ask to see if they knew anything about the outage (even though it’s Danger’s problem) while I was there. Funny thing was I think I knew more about it than them! One of the employees called customer care, and apparently they said Danger is updating their system, and data should be restored within 24 hours. The other employee said the outages usually don’t last more than 3 days…

    So, fingers crossed it comes back soon!

    I too am in the same boat with the outage. It really pissed me off, so I called T mobile, informed them that I took yesterday off and planned on working from the road, using my sidekick, well, needless to say this all happened, and I lost a client because I was not in contact with them! I am beyond pissed. So anyways, I called and they credited my accoutn $35, which is nice and all, but that doesn’t account for the thousands I lost from this client…

    This problem is a Danger server problem. BUT! That begs the question of why don’t they have good HA infrastructure (High Availability) and a true DR site (Disaster Recovery). Don’t blame T-Moble too much, this is clearly a Danger fiasco. And that means it is a MicroSloth problem. Hmmm…I wonder just how interested MS is in keeping the Danger/sidekick technology healthy and ongoing? Well, I might look into one of the new G1′s. I will DEARLY miss the SideKick’s drop-dead beautifully simple interface. Oh well.

    Hey guys, my internet is working a little now, it still has the 2 dot thing but im able to go online, dont have any contacts and email is gone but i have internet…called tmoble and got my 20 bucks too.

    You guys need to just let it go. my contract ends in march, after that im switching somewhere else, i dont care what it is but there are so much better phones and services out there and im willing to pay money to be happy. and im not saying get an iphone, who knows ? i might go to sprint, i dont know but this anchor has got to go. seriously people wake up. the economy is bad and i bet if the next phone service to go out, it would be tmobile. take a minute and really think….does the swivel screen still impress you ? does it really ??? not me, im sorry, best of luck to you guys.

I started with my rants and things so the security came and tried to calm me down i did no such thing so after they tried resolving the issue of me having no service they started shoving me outside like im some type of teenager. Then went back to the mall later and tried apologizing to try to do the mature thing except one of the tmobile guys got an attitude with me (to think it was one of my high school classmates) got in one little fight and my mom got scared And said youre moving with your aunte and uncle in bel-air I whistled for a cab and when it came near the Licenseplate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror If anything I could say that this cab was rare But I thought now forget it, yo home to bel-air I pulled up to a house about seven or eight And I yelled to the cabby yo, home smell you later

    I blame Microsoft. They always, ALWAYS screw up everything they touch. The Zune, Windows Vista/ME/XP, Bing, etc…. none of these things were without problems. All great ideas, awesome concepts, nifty promises falling from the lips of their heralds…

    But when it came down to it, Microsoft never delivered. The patches, updates, recalls, and bugs have made me less-than-impressed with their products. However, I will keep my Sidekick, and cherish it (although the usb port fell out and I’m charging it with a universal battery charger) until it’s permanent demise. And I plan on sticking with Sidekicks as long as they keep innovating and producing new, more advanced devices. I do ask, however, that T-Mobile, Danger and Microsoft work together to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Or at least not for so long!

    Well, in a way I cab relate. It doesn’t vibrate for me, but when I turn it on a volume level, it makes the PAC man noise (for text messages :P) just fine.

    I love you, and I agree with you. People need to chill the hell out. I’ve only had mine since the Sidekick 2008, but I haven’t had a single problem until now. It’s really not a big deal, I wasn’t one of those idiots to pull out the battery. I never do that, it takes time to get everything back and not worth it. I’ll just do a soft reset via 1 + @ + 0 it’s better.

    Hunny I have had kicks for 4 years … I’m on my 3rd since sidekick 2. Other than a few issues I’ve been fine. Any phone has problems. I’ve had more issues with motorola’s than any of my kicks.

    Any time there’s an issue tmobile is quick to fix it. Since I’ve been with them since 2003 they upgraded my plan to unlimited for less $$. So idk what everyone problem is.

    U can’t blame $hit on who answers the phones. They’re just doing they’re job. And sidekick is just one phone out of all that they have.

    Just cuz we lose service 4 a few days doesn’t mean the world has come 2 an end.

    I did the online customer service chat Friday night and they credited me $5 per line (I have 3)and then I did the same today and the lady credited me $74.99 for the whole month. $89.99 worth of credit isn’t bad. I been a customer Since august of 2005. I lost 168 contacts and I can’t access my desktop from My T-Mobile.

    Um, what are you talking about? It has everything to do with Danger. The only reason why we’re allowed to send SMS Messages is because that goes through T-Mobile. The rest; IM, E-Mail and Web Browsing is on Danger’s end, and we can’t access those clients. Now, I’m not saying I’m going to leave the Sidekick because of the outage, because that’s ludicrous. I’m just letting you know that this most likely is Danger’s fault, regardless of how the server actually went out.

    i’ve had nothing but problems with my sidekick 08, my battery will overheat about once a week or more and will drain in about 15 minutes and ive had constant service problems and now this just adds to the problems. everytime i call t-mobile about the battery all they say is to ‘turn off the device and turn it back on, that should fix it’ come on… really. thats obviously the first thing i would try. then i call again and they tell me if the problem continues to call back. well clearly its not going to go away on its own. i really regret not getting a blackberry at the time

    I had that problem as well. Try getting a new battery.

    Oh and we’re all going through this, you’re situation isn’t unique to the problem. Most of you say you’re switching phone and service, but I can’t help but get the feeling that not even close to half of you will. And if you do, you’d regret it. There really isn’t any comparison to the Sidekick’s simplest and most convenient interface and it’s capabilites at multi-tasking.

    I dropped my phone and the battery came out! Now my contacts are lost! :( Its a good thing I had some on my SIM card cuz it let me import SIM contacts. So at least I got some of my social life back.

    This diaster is actually kind of a nice break from annoying ppl on my phone. But breaks are temporary. Danger need to step it up as soon as they can.

    I’ve been In I.T. for a long time. I’m very curious about what’s going on under the hood here. Standard IMPORTANT computer functionality in reasonable businesses have infrastructure in place to ensure that the systems have High Availability and there there is a Disaster Recovery option. Hmmm…I guess Danger/MicroSoft saved a few bucks in the past few years by NOT treating their customer facing systems like they are IMPORTANT.

    Someone in upper management must have taken the attitude presented in Nicholas G. Carr’s “IT Doesn’t Matter” Article from Harvard. I hope they lose their job and not the low level technical worker bee…or maybe Microsoft outsourced too much of this to India.

    I just got this sidekick after my other one stopped working. Which had nothing to do with anything I did. This Sidekick 08 has been nothing but a pain since I got it last December. Now, I’m having battery problems and this whole deal.

    I was really looking forward to getting a new phone but when I went to T-mobile I realised that I’m really use to the sidekick and everything else seemed to weird. So, I’m stuck.
    I hate the sidekick, but all other phones seem to complicated to use. But this server problem needs to be fixed, for real.

SideKick users should contact Customer Service and insist on a full credit of the $19.00 fee charged for the data service for the entire month. Should the outage continue into 05 October 2009 Monday, I suggest that SideKick users file complaints with the Attorney General’s office in their respective states and/or the Consumer Affairs Office in their states.

    So I just called tmobile and talked to a hella nice guy who kept it 100% real with me. He gave me the background on sidekicks and everything and I seriously talked to him for 45 minutes..lol..So for those who don’t know..here’s what he told me:

    1. He got really upset when I told him that I called 728328103 times before I talked to him and everyone was telling me that service would be restored in 2 hours or 24 hours or any kind of time frame because the truth is, even the people at tmobile have NO IDEA when it will be restored.

    2. The Danger server went down before but not as severe as this time and what out for about 5 days.

    3. All of our contacts and other data should still be secured even with the system down.

    5. DON’T CALL TO GET CREDITED NOW! He said that honestly the best compensation you will get will be when the whole problem is resolved that was they can compensate you for EVERY day for however long the system is out.

    6. He basically told me that honestly all we can do is wait. It sucks but life throws you curve balls you still gotta try and hit that sucker out the park! :-D

    I’m so frustrated with this whole thing. My LX dropped out of my pocket and battery fell out. Contacts are gone and I can’t text anyone. It’s really frustrating because now I can only get in contact with people via my email. On my computer. Which isn’t the most convenient thing seeing as I’m a college student and am not in my dorm room or on my laptop 24/7. I’ve had nothing but problems with my phone for the past year and have spent so much time trying to fix them, but no one has been any help (from multiple T-Mobile stores, numerous SIM cards, and many, many dropped calls a city where I should have good service (according to a T-Mobile person). I can’t wait until my contract is up to go to a different carrier. I love my Sidekick, but not enough to keep on dealing with these problems.

    12:30pm in Chicago, still no G3 on mine. Chatted with T-Mobile this morning took me a good 45 minutes to get service tho. Not that it mattered, I just popped the chat window up in the corner of my screen and worked on my computer till it came on. They offered me 5$ but after a little bit of dramatics, and stating I needed to consider another service provider. (after 5 years) They waived a month for me. Altho I would really like to have it back on. I have a back up blackberry if this doesn’t clear up soon, but I am not that fond of it.

    itouch keyboard may suck but the device itself does alot more than what the sidekick can do.

    Wow! This info was really helpful! Thanks for sharing cuz I was so debating with whether or not I shud soft reset or not. I got my G but no data services…I want my sign in screen! But i’ll try n stay patient. I got 6.5 more hrs til the day is over. I think I can wait until then….maybe!!

    MSFT has no interest in keeping the Sidekick brand around-as it is trying to hawk a horrible consumer device called PINK(internal name.)
    T-Mobile and MSFT have also had a bad relationship since the Danger acquistion because T-Mobile was not interested in MSFT PINK and MSFT told T-Mobile they were a 3rd rate carrier not worth producing a Sidekick for. Since Danger was under contract to deliver a new device and at least one new upgrade in software, MSFT was forced by lawyers to fulfill it’s obligations. But delivering a product with a backend service is not the same as maintaining the product line’s backend service.
    It costs MSFT about 1,000,000 a day in penalties when the service goes down. The service is supposed to be up 99%. 1 Million is nothing to MSFT(it was to start up Danger Inc.)
    MSFT has a deal to deliver PINK to a bigger competitor(Verizon is named) and could be trying to kill the Sidekick brand off and driving customers to the other carriers.
    Also, the MSFT backend service has been “upgraded” to support PINK devices lately. The failure to fix the data services point straight to Danger/MSFT-not T-Mobile. TMobile is being held hostage by MSFT I am guessing

    I got my G around 2:15pm today in Florida and its been going off and on ever since then. I just got my 3G about an hour ago just for it to go back to the regular G and then 2 dots again to back to the G again. =/ I also got the text message from Tmobile but I never saw a sign-in page and I still dont have any contacts. This is all with the Sidekick LX 2009 btw. Im still bein patient. I was able to import 50 of my contacts that I had saved on my SIM card so my life is only half paralyzed…but I need my other 150 contacts and facebook/twitter apps to be fully social again.

    Yea im more worried about the contacts than anything else.
    And for those posting locations i dont think it has anything to do with when you get service back.It must be coming back like the OTAs(No order,Some ppl at first then more gradually)

    I understand. I have the Sidekick LX 09 too and lemme just say that I think it was the worse sidekick ive had. If it wasnt for its “expensive” look and awesome quality on the screen I wouldve went back to my 2008 a long while ago.

    My battery also fell out when I dropped it and I too loss all my contacts. As we are witnessing, they are working on getting all the sidekicks back up and running so theres nothing we can do but wait. Theres thousands of sidekick users out there and I imagine its gonna take more than 5 minutes for the company to get everyone’s working back to its original state.

    So my advice to you is just to be patient. I dont think it will be too much longer. I’m personally waiting for the PINK phones to come out so I can try those. I love the sidekick’s design but as for the functionality, eh..its just not working for me. And its more than just this problem but the Sidekick LX 2009 altogether. Maybe they just built up the hype too much but I’ m ready to get rid of it.

    The last 4 numbers of the IMSI should be your password.

    But it doesn’t work for everybody, like myself I called tmobile was on hold for about an hour & a half but when I did speak to someone they reset my password and gave me $17 credit. Got my G back 15 minutes after.

    yeah, i always do the same thing as well, leave your phone on all night while charging. if your like me and turn it off so you don’t get woke up just put it on silent mode. keep it on as long as possible until everything is back to normal. turning your phone off and then back on will just pro long you having to wait for things to return.

    no problem. yeah i have had ALOT of people asking about the hard reset. even i did it on friday before any of us knew what had really happened because usually when something goes wrong that is what we tell people to do. your contacts will come back, and on the extreme off chance that they do not everything you have on your phone is backed up on the danger data servor. think of it as a giant computer. so if your contacts never do return it is possible to retrieve them manually. it’s frustrating, but very possible. promise.

Emails, anyone of us can go to the local library get a email different from Tmail or “copy/paste”. With addresses, has anyone heard of the “paper dog-eared assistant”? Paper and pens, please.

I had do several soft resets to get the device unstuck, it would keep freezing up. When will all this be over?     do a soft reset. hold down the @ key, the 1 key, and the 0 key all at the same time. that is considered a soft reset. whatever you do, do NOT take out the battery.

    My two “special folders” that I made came back when round two of emails restored. I’ve been moving all the emails that I can over to my at&t email in the meantime. Then you have watch for them to come back again and again. I emptied out the smallest one so those have been forwarded.

    sorry for the delayed response, ive been diagnosed with swine flu and have been basically on my death bed. but anyway, everything should be restored by sunday night. you should see names showing up when you receive calls and texts followed by those names returning to your address book shortly there after. no information has been deleted. and if for some reason your contacts and notes to not return on their own they can be retrieved manually but that of course is more of a last resort option.

    i do want to touch on a topic many people have been bringing up. i can assure everyone that t mobile does in fact take this matter VERY seriously and has begun the process to seek legal action against microsoft for this issue. as much as you would all like to blame t mobile for this, and in some ways it is their fault for not making sure microsoft had a back up plan in place for an outage such as this, t mobile has been loosing ALOT of money because of this. for anyone seeking to inquire about the lawsuit against danger and what is being done then you will need to call t mobile and ask to speak with their legal department. it might be a seperate number that you have to call but everyone is entitled to the information and the steps t mobile plans to take to deal with this matter. obviously their are alot of issues between microsoft and t mobile that have transpired since the purchase of danger by microsoft. i won’t get to into it because it is alot to type. but i can assure you t mobile has some very exciting ideas when it comes to the sidekick future.

    with that all said, please, everyone, be patient.

    i will try ans answer this as best as i can. when it comes to the emails being restored everything has been spoke of as one unit. meaning when you hear that email service will be restored that means tmail as well as other email accounts you have added. now honestly, i can’t pretend to know to much more about that, as you actually have caught me off guard with that question lol. i will say, after reading your comment i did make some calls and ask around and the best answer i could come up with is if you can go ahead and restore the yahoo email account back to your phone if it does not return when everything is back up and running, obviously with yahoo you are able to check that account via a computer, but if you do not have access to one then i would say go ahead and re add it. the worst that would come from that is if it does come back to your phone after adding it a 2nd time, you will just have the same account showing up twice. as far as emails being lost from your tmail account and not showing up, i would wait a day or 2 before going right out and saying they are gone for good, i know some of my texts have been deleted as well and will not be returned, in all honesty i would say prepare yourself to deal with them not coming back just incase that is what happens. but once data service is fully restored you can go to a t mobile store location and ask them about it, i know a few ways they are able to try and retrieve those saved emails for you.

    they should be back for sale as soon as this whole data situation is resolved, obviously selling the sidekick had to be put on hold because you cannot register when you buy them, as of now it is still sunday night that the problems should be fixed, though that could very well change. basically whatever day that full data service is restored expect the sidekick to be back on sale that very next day. i.e. if service is back by sunday night then expect monday morning that the sidekicks will once again be available.

    Hello Joe, I’ve chatted with a few T-Mo reps. online and also spoke to a rep. in the T-Mo store about switching to a new phone. They all told me that since I was not eligible for an upgrade, that I’d have to pay $399.99 for a myTouch or $359.99 for a G1. In one of your earlier posts, you said that Sidekick users would be able to purchase a new phone for the promotional prices that new subscribers would get. Is that true? If so, who do I need to speak to get a myTouch @ $149.99??

    You must be out of your god damn mind if you want a sidekick after knowing about all of the problems! Or even want to be with Tmobile for that matter. All the reps have been saying that all information lost “should” come back….until today when reps finally started admitting that all information is lost forever. Oh and yesterday a Microsoft rep said that they werent even aware of the problem…funny since its been over a week. Tmobile is the worst company ever…still charging customers for service that they cant use. A $20 credit for data service is ridiculous.

    Also to anyone that doesnt feel like paying $200 to quit your contract…either ask to speak to a supervisor via Tmobile support chat or over the phone (and dont take no for an answer…they will try to refuse as long as possible but all calls and chats are recorded so if you are persistant they have to eventually let you) and they will give you another phone for a new customer charge. For example…the mytouch for $149.99. You will have to agree to another 2 year contract for this deal….which really doesnt even make it a deal since most sidekick users just want out of their contract.

    hey joe, now that it pretty much has been set in stone that our contacts and notes etc is not coming back as the sidekick forum says, what should we do? a simple month credit is far from what the information in ours phones cost, i am aware that this is a microsoft/danger thing (and I know is more ******* microsoft than anything) so what can be done since most customers link is t-mobile and not the other companies. I refuse to believe we just have to sit down crossing our arms and just rebuild our contact list and accept what just happened, even the switching phones but still having to pay thing is ridiculous. I called Tmobile essentially to tell them to end my contract and they said not without waving my early termination fee – that to me is the biggest crock of **** – this company completely failed its clients and is holding up hostage – first move I make Monday is call my lawyer and have them write a strongly worded letter. Unless anyone here has any suggestions or a loop hole in the contract regarding service over contacts?

Certainly not theirs and TMo refused to listen that I WAS DISABLED WITH NO CAR AND STUCK. I WAS HELPLESS.

You’d figure these 2 companies would have had a fail safe in place in case something like this occurs, especially when migrating data! A month’s refund doesn’t do jack for all the notes, contacts, apps, to do’s, calender events, text messages, emails, etc. that I loss. I utilize all those things on a daily basis for business purposes and them saying they’ll only refund a months worth doesn’t justify how much business me and other business owners will lose because of this. How’s about a free sidekick and data service for the next 3 years or something like that for starters. Goodbye Sidekick and T-mobile.

    Yea – My Sidekick is halfway up as well – but that doesn’t justify the actions at this point. The company position is reckless – they claim they are looking to keep us happy but in interim they are getting us more upset. – Holding my number hostage for the next 7 months is not making me happy. They should say – “if your upset we’re upset how could we make you happy”. Especially for business owners and the disabled – kids who flip 30 texts every half hours while important don’t have critical data needed to go on with life. I now have to invest more time rebuilding my lost data, let alone the time I lost without my phone and drop calls – Over delivering makes people stay – under-delivering and getting defensive makes people mad – free 90 days and a free of heavily reduced hardware upgrade makes sense because it would lock people in for 3 more month, which is enough for me to forget and get use to my new hardware (which ever way I decide to go). I think this is an ethical

    I’m a firm believer that there is power in numbers – how do we collect a group of pissed off clients and present a letter to the FCC and the CEO/Pres of T-Mobile, Danger and now Microsoft (the irony) – I have PC’s every reach and generally have no anger towards MS -But I can’t believe these people crashed a stable system the first time they touched it.

    well that does it – I’ve had enough – my letters are in and im switching over tomorrow – this sidekick business is a thing of the past – the service is spotty the customer service is unacceptable and frankly the sidekick is just plain old – there’s really no reason to stay – if you ask me, I wouldn’t be too surprised if MS took a look at the system and said – “this is old” we can’t work with this – lets just shut it off and wait for everyone to get tired of our lame excuses – Then we will rework the entire system and sell new hardware and service.

    From what I remember the information that tmobile provided for the sidekicks data cover ups . Was the data coverage for out phone bills. Mine was covered. Im so thankful. But what was also included was a $100′s . We can use it for our cell phone bill, get ringtones, buy cases anything. And now that offer is gone. The whole updated info is gone and now its talkn about 5 dollar coverage. Sorry that’s not cutting it. My bill is almost 100 bucks a month. And im not even purchasing ringtones allpapers all that good stuff. I am thankful my contacts and internet is working.. Etc.. But I would’ve spent money on music stuff. And to top off when I am making outgoing calls my info is coming up unnamed out of the area. And incoming says out of area, not available and stuff. Its pretty crazy. Espcially that metro is getting sidekicks. Depletes the whole fun of sidekicks. Idont even want my sidekick anymore. I waited 4 years for one. Now I got the new lx 09. Im kinda oveer it. I want a blackberry or a sleek TOUCHscreen. Would be cool.

    2 weeks ago. I remember my cellphone bill was due on the 15 of oct. They said specifically. They will cover all sidekick data plans. My bill is normally 97 bucks. This time i appreciated it so very much. They covered my sidekick data plan. I only paid 60. AND they also included that they will give us all $100s. I assume it was going to be a card or something available only thru an email w a confirmation number or something for us. In any way shape or form. We would be able to use that money for our phone bill, or apps, songs, accessories at the store. But now its a whole other update that they placed up there.

    Half way at least.
