Photobucket App is Free!
If you’ve been hesitant to download the Photobucket application because of the price or the recurring fee (or both), the option to try the app out for free has come! If you download the application by 4/30, you have a 30 day free trial period to test it out. This means you can use the full version of the application, risk free for 30 days and then decide if you like it or not. This is a great option and may be what changes people’s opinions about the product. Remember that the application is free only for 30 days from the time that you have downloaded it. After the 30 day free trial period is over, you will be charged a monthly subscription fee of $1.99, which will be billed to you each month until the item is discarded. Check out the information in the Download Catalog for more in-depth information. Download and try it out from the Catalog now!

OK, maybe a one time fee. But reoccurring fees monthly?? No way! But thanks for making it free tho! -maybe some people will forget to delete it once they’ve downloaded it so they creator can make some money off of it! lol

YAWN – permanently free would be preferred. Like the MS Live Maps app!!!

True that. It should be free all the way since we use photobucket online for free too.

I agree with you guys to a certain extent. Social networking sites and online services such as MySpace and Photobucket shouldn’t be charged. On other devices and platforms, most of these types of applications are free. Danger feels the need to use the recurring fees to support the server pressures. I don’t really see too many free applications in the future, unless Danger changes its mind about how the Catalog works, and think how they did when they released the Microsoft Live Search app for free.

I would have loved this application when I was an active member on poweredbydanger.com. I use to regularly post about new games and apps all the time, and always had to wait to get home to post screenshot or pictures. This app is for the hardcore sidekick user that uses their device for EVERYTHING!!! Lol some people don’t own laptops or computers so being able to upload pics ans screen shots on photobucket is a well needed feature. But a $1.99 re-occuring fee, wtf? If you have use for it, go for it. If you can wait to get home….save your money, 2 bucks buys me a junior bacon cheese burger and some fries

This has always pissed me off about Sidekicks. To use the most basic apps you have to PAY a monthly access fee. Like Myspace USED to charge a monthly fee. Weather app charges a monthly fee…
What the heck Danger? Even the most basic smartphones have free applications that allow users to upload photos FOR FREE…Access weather and get updates FREE…
Ehhh…this is my biggest gripe.

yea the point that we don’t get basic apps for free sucks. danger is too cheeap, if they don’t change their gona end up loosing all their costumers!
