Hi all. Long time reader, first time commenter.
I have a question for the long time SK users. I have only had a 2008. I created my own theme and was wondering I could reuse those themes on a new sidekick? Or are the requirements different for each sidekick? I preordered this phone and I’m curious if I can transfer the theme. If the themes were transferable on previous sidekicks I’m hoping the same holds true for the LX09.

I don’t think themes are transferable. but I’ve only had 1 kick.

If you created your own theme or downloaded it from one of the theme sites on Sidekick-Themes then you can use it on another device, but the image will be stretched/shrunk. The only theme supporting Sidekicks that use the same sizes are the LX and 2008.
You’ll be able to recreate the theme on sklx09themes.com when it launches though

Damn ppl get use to no flash, tread txt, and free ringtones, transferring ringtones, I had 3 different kicks and it doesn’t happen, accept the limitations or get a g1 or blackberry

who cares for threaded text i sure dont. omg its a grounbreaking feature! I can keep my conversation stored for months! flahs i dont care for i got a laptop and we can get custom ringtones now. so what limitations do you speak of? We can still stream audio and got mobile youtube

These themes rock! way for artistic than the old lx. I checked the the sklx09themes site and only two themes were up, so nothing exciting yet. I was hoping Prash would have made some early but by I am sure he doesn’t even have his new lx, if he even ordered. Im just excited to get my new phone, even if the scheduling of sending them out is all effed up!

i just got my sidekick on thursday.
i haven’t put it down since i put my sim card in lol.
i LOVEEE my Orchid.
its been real good to me [:
i only had 1 problem..
i tried to call somebody and it froze and restarted..
i heard other people were having this same problem on pbd.
its been working just fine though after that problem.
im envied at my school.
and im also using the last theme.
