Slide Click!

Is the Sidekick 3 too expensive for you? Haven’t scored a “FREE SIDEKICK 3” from one of the ads yet? Don’t need the fancy camera, mp3 player, web browsing, etc but just need an organizer and a way to text message one other person? Got $34.95? Go get a Slide Click!

We first heard about these from Rockstarr after she spotted them in a Limited Too store. Sounds like they’re trying to start training those Sidekick thumbs early! She made sure to point out: “Oh and NO YOU CANNOT MAKE YOUR OWN RINGERS!”

From a site we found selling them:

Today’s cyber kids have a new language—instant messaging. Set of Two Slide Click SMS Text Messenger/Organizers are handheld devices that simply send and receive wireless text messages instantly, up to 50 ft.! They’re also organizers that store information and important phone numbers, addresses, emails and memos. Secret password functions keep it all private. Uses 2 AAA batteries (sold separately). Each 2 1/2″ x 4 3/4″. Ages 7+.

your better off writing notes, tying them to a baseball and tossing them between you and your friends back n forth

or here is a hint, if they can only reach 50 feet why not YELL at the person or SIGNAL them to come your way?!

if you really wanted to get to your friend give it to him in your sk3 box. but then ask for the box when your done. unless you dont want it.

ok put it to you like this wanna send long-range messages on a slideclick go and get a 90.00$ ir data card and ir converter 100.00$ and plug it into your computer in the network jack then send messages from the slideclick to the computer which reads the message and then send it to the other slideclick just like a wifi hot-spot. once you do that you can send messages across the block or to your friend next door.

  31. joseph williams Says:

if u wanna send long-range messages you can hook toy to toy

  32. michael williams Says:

Then copy the stack to it and that will cache your data
STEP3.make sure you can setup an infrared ad-hoc network
STEP4.check your infrared transceiver and make sure you select 256 kbps
STEP5.now turn on all slideclicks and let your computer search for devices.once your devices are discovered then do a connection test
STEP6.then type in these 3 digit id codes 776,440,224,890,331,673.now since you have 24 devices type in 776_1 and so on,and so forth these are codes to id your messenger on the network
