T-Mobile Internal Memo on “Sidekick LX 2009″
We got the below memo from an anonymous T-Mobile employee:
Get Ready for the New Sidekick LX
T-Mobile is preparing to launch the thinnest Sidekick ever, with blazing fast 3G connectivity for customers to connect with friends quickly and easily. The new Sidekick LX will come equipped with GPS enabled Live Search, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and free bundled social networking applications including Facebook, My Space, and Twitter. Customers will also be able to watch and download You Tube videos directly from the device. The new Sidekick LX comes equipped with the features that customers love including a full QWERTY keyboard and an enhanced swivel screen that is larger and sharper than any other Sidekick.
Additional information regarding launch dates, pricing and availablility will be available on the Retail Communication Home Page on April 17.

It basically says what we’ve been saying for months now about the new Sidekick LX 2009. It’s nice to see things confirmed though. It looks like T-Mobile is going to stick the new device under the Sidekick LX line though. So like the Sidekick 2008 is officially just the “Sidekick” then based on this memo the Sidekick LX 2009 will be the “Sidekick LX”. Hopefully we’ll hear more in the way of official news on Friday!

I’ve noticed that the removed sale of the Sidekick LX on tmobile.com but the Tony Hawk LE SK and the SK 2008 are still up there so this probably a reliable source or they probably would’ve deleted the SK 2008 in preparation for the Sidekick LX² or 2009

Well, who knows if this is true? but if you go on tmobile.com, the brown and blue Lx are gone.. only the Tony Hawk Sidekick and the Gekko are still up.. hopefully they update it 2morro… it’ll probably say, comming soon.. anyway as soon as u see it, call a tmo rep and see if u can upgrade.. get it in the mail b4 anyone else.. thats what I did when the lx came out… can’t wait till 2morro!!

they shouldnt be charging us for free ****, anyway.
they should be following the App Store’s model more closely. IF we have to pay for the app, thats cool, cause someone worked hard to write that code. they should be compensated, but a monthly service charge? for what? every other phone (on t-mobile, mind you) has it free, so long as they are smart enough.

Hello sidekick still not working 38 days now prepaid is only geting 10 dollars that’s it.an if you lost all you data pic numbers an info you do not get the 100 dollars tmobile sucks.I’ve been in the news payper 2 times an called the head office 1877.290.6323.ext 3418022 call they will love to talk an tell you that ten dollars is all you get.that’s why I called fcc b b b on them an sidekicks are done they will not be geting sold any more head office told me.well go to craigslist 09 3 or 4 of them 100 to 129 can’t give them a way junk now.an for every one who lost info call you’re news payper put you’re story in there so all can know how much tmobile took care of us prepaid users put tmobile out there they will love it
