Time for an OTA already?
We heard that TMobile is planning on rolling out an Over The Air Update in order to address some of the battery issues. No details on when or what else it will address. We can only assume that it’s intended to fix the 400% battery display and hopefully some of the tendency for the Sidekick 3 to suck more power than it should. As we hear more, we’ll let you know

ahh.. u suck… lol.. oh well.. im not having any problems with my battery.. it lasts alott longer than my SK2.. i charge my 3 from 11pm-6am and it last from6-11 with about 30% left.. but a OTA would b cool.. lol

i’m dying to get a SK3 but I have Cingular right now and it’s pretty hard to give up their great coverage to switch to T-Mobile’s coverage :\….Anybody else heard rumors of a new Sidekick or special edition Sidekick that’s going to be released this year?

OTA is when tmobile sends an update to ur phone and it installs similar to a app.

i heard about the razor sidekick. i think thats wat they are plannin to do and ur goals but idk. i think the special eidtion is gonna b true in october becasue tahst when it happen last year and its around holiday season. but they might come with another sidkeick next year like how they did with the three but instead sk4 it will b sidekick razor

yeah, that makes sense….I think I might hold out on getting a SK3 until a special edition comes out….Has anybody else switched from Cingular to T-Mobile? If you have, are you happy with the service of T-Mobile compared to Cingular?

I wish I got a mda, this camera sucks, all snowy, my friends razor takes better pics, I am losing my connect at random times, I wasted my money on a sidekick 2.5, and the mda has everything we all want, better screen, better cam, video, and mp3 ringtone, I am stuck wit this crappy phone for 2 years

You should take advantage of the 14 day return policy. Hopefully, you can return your Sidekick 2.5 and get that MDA =]

Cingular has MUCH better coverage compared to T-Mobile. I had significantly greater reception with Cingular.

the sidkeick dont take bad pics. it look like it but when u put it into the computer it looks better. its just cuz the screen on the sk3 is bad. sk3 has the same megapixal as a razor.

actually the sk3 has a WAY better cam than the razr.
razr has a VGA cam
sk3 has a 1.3 mp

tmobile has horrible coverage. i think if it wasnt for the razor and the sidekicks they woudlnt have alot of cusotmers. also they got the best fones selections i think compare to anywhere else.

I got mine the 1st day it came out for tmobile customers, its too late, plus for the mda it cost more for the data, so I guess I gotta stay with my sidekick 3 or 2.5

Tmobile is one of the best coverages I never drop calls and I travel all over that’s what free roaming is for cingular isn’t that great

the MDA sucks.. i had 1 and i hated it.. its slow and stupid.. it freezes alott and now i think everything is a touch screen..lol.. i did like windows media on it tho.. i could listen to internet radio.. other than that i hated it..

Who even uses their phone for pictures? I mean if you want a good quality pic you won’t find a phone to do that, even the best nonphone cams still need proper light and what not. Yea the cam is bad but who has an sk3 and no digicam? C’mon now people digicams are less than the sk3. Buuuut I guess no one wants to carry like 483828 devices with them. Meh.
I bet the people who complain don’t even have an sk3. Haters. Drinkin that hatoraide.

I agree xONWARDtoVICTORYx. People that complain about the sk3 probaby dont even have one. I dont understand why people always complaining about the sk3…Cut tmobile some slack. Creating a phone isnt that easy.

I hate hate HATE when people call it the SK “2.5” The SK THREE has much more upgrades than that of the SK 1 to the SK 2. But then again you probably have no idea what I’m talking about since most people who call it the “2.5” have only recently jumped on the the SK bandwagon.
The only thing that irritates me more, is that in the same breath as calling the SK 3 the SK 2.5, people have the audacity to compare it to the MDA. I had the misforunte of owning the MDA for 2 weeks. That God awful device must be the phone that Satan uses. Sure, the camera was good, but that’s only because the screen was better than the SK 3’s. BOTH devices have a 1.3 megapixel camera. Other than a cool screen, the MDA is useless. The touchscreen is useless without the stylus, the keypad is awful and the AIM on the MDA (the most important fature to me on my SK) is NOT in real time, making it completely and utterly annoying and useless. I wanted to give the damn thing a chance since my SK 2 was broken at the time and the SK 3 had not come out yet. But after a few days of trying too hard and getting nowhere fast I settled for using my SK 1 until the 3 would come out. Truth be told, I’d rather use the old school Mortola Startac than the MDA. So if the SK 3 is the Sk 2.5, then the MDA = the MDGay
I don’t own a digital camera so I take pics with my phone all the time. I know it’s not the best quality but it gets the job done. I am fortunate that my female friends usually carry their digital cameras in their bags when we go out so that helps. But if you want a good digital camera/video recorder/microwave/pop corn maker/dishwasher/helicopter launch pad then get a device that is NOT a phone.

I have a sk2, a sk3, a MacBook Pro, a 60gb video iPod… and I do not have a digital camera, thanks.
I prefer film, paper, and darkrooms.

it depends on where you live and what phone you have. i had cingular before and it dropped more calls then all the sidekick 2’s dropped. and that was with 3 phones of theirs.. then i switched to tmobile.. not 1 dropped call in a year (so far).. i always have coverage.. wether im traveling or at home. t-mobile is a great company.. cingular is in more places in the middle of the country.. but other than that its pretty much the same.. (plus t-mobile’s customer care cant be beat).when i tried to drop cingular after my contract was up they tried everything to keep me.. they put me on hold for 45 mins because the supervisor wanted to change my mind.. how lame is that.. i hung up on the b**ch. lol anyways
i cant wait for the 3G network that will be out next year, its too bad you have to buy another sidekick thats compatible with the new network if u want the high speed connection.. but EDGE will still be there for people who dont want to upgrade again.. lol

I live in washington state and tmobile is the best imho.
My friends have sprint and verizon and say the plans suck and the coverage sucks. My parents broke the bank gettin verizon phones cause they camp a lot and their truck has on star (which is thru verizon) and they thought they’d get service but ther phones die at the same spot their tmobile phones lost service.
I lived in denver as well and tmobile was awesome unless you used that regional cricket service. That phone was good but only worked in one city.

Yea, I had trouble with the durability of the battery , I did the whole drain once and my battery does last longer, not as much as I woul like but its noticeable…maybe I should do the process a couple of times more
