Zune Phone Didn’t Get Tickets to CES
Sorry gang, looks like the rumors of a ZunePhone unveiling at CES next month have been squashed. Gizmodo is quoting Brian Seitz, the Group Manager of Zune as saying “No Zune phone at CES.” This doesn’t necessarily mean the ZunePhone doesn’t exist, just that it’s not coming to CES. Guess we get to keep on waiting to see what Microsoft and Danger have up their sleeves.

There is no G2 regardless…only rumors and photoshop pictures. People just expect that there will be an updated version of the G1 in the next 6 months… at least from what I’ve read. SO IF there is G2, it might come out in the US. You never know..
I really need a new sidekick tho.. The LX is starting to piss me off…old technology is no fun. 🙁

and plus alot of rumors have some truth in them
the g2 is really an htc fone not a google fone
it jus has alot of features of google thats why
they call it that

Why does everyone insist that the “zune phone” is the sidekick. The sidekick is a sidekick. They are not going to call it a Zune Phone and it’s been confirmed that there will be no Zune Phone. Sheez.
People just wait for the stupid sidekick..Chances are it’s not gonna be up to date technology because they got so used to you buying a 300 dollar phone which should be sold at 100 dollar price.

Considering that Microsoft has long been saying that there is no ZunePhone, I’d be surprised if they didn’t spin around and reveal a new Sidekick with Zune technology, capitalizing on the Sidekick’s success–after all, a new Sidekick is not a ZunePhone.

Yes frankly I have had a sidekick since O3 but I will jump ship if they force
existing customers who are on the 19.99 to a higher price plan and with the other sidekicks we lost the data and ringtones we paid for.. So I hope danger doesn’t drop the ball.. The only way I would stay if its a cutting edge phone and really id have to debate that!

Okay I just wanted to say I love sidekicks but I’m getting the G1 trust me its worth it also don’t let others dictate your experience with any phone cause 80% really don’t know how to use the phone if anyone has questions post here and I will answer them.
To clear up rumors the Zunephone is not the new sidekick and given past history it won’t be until September or later when something new is released also the Zunephone is a Microsoft/Danger project it has nothing to do with the sidekick as of yet so enough said. We all know the trend of sidekicks alsways the last phone to get last years technology hopefully it will change but as of now the G1 is perfect for me and the aim which most complained about doesn’t suck anymore download the new app called Hello Aim and on that note I truly hope the sidekick progress but it as a ways to go and the G1 has its faults but its minor and will be fixed soon its the first device of its kind after all and for those who will try and tell me otherwise check around before you come and say this and that I assure you I will be the first to correct you if your wrong also I’m not a fanboy of anything I speak soley on facts.

You are very Correct I must say the G1 is the best phone right Now for T-Mobile its Something new && the Aim service does suck on there but I’ve been Hearing that Hello aim works Great… I’m gonna Buy the G1 in 1 month cuz that’s When I can upgrade :]

Yeah the aim service for the built in app for IM sucked as many would say but yes the Hello Aim app will give you the same experience as if you were on a sidekick so don’t worry and issues get fixed pretty fast on the G1 I’ve notice were the sidekick could go up to a month but hey its google. I could show you all some very nice things you can do with the phone like download youtube vids directly to the memory card using the G1 webkit browser which is the browser on the device as a default but like I said there is a lot the device offers trust me.

Well I got the g1 when it first came out and to me it wasn’t worth all the hype. I kept my sidekick while I had it because I have two cell phones but I returned it because I couldn’t justify paying 25 for the internet and have no unlimited texts and the phone itself was just flimsy it felt sensitive.. Either way like I said I’ve had a sk since O3 and I will definately jump ship if they raise the prices because there are a lot of better phones on the market.. I mostly use it for aim text and I use the internet also but aim and the unlimited text for 20 and the simplicity is what keeps me here

Well I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy it honestly anyone who got the G1 has a pre-order was pretty much a Beta tester yes the phone was suppose to have a lot more than it did but don’t worry cause google is fixing it with the next update I just read there android roadmap and wow its quite impressive there fixing bugs and adding stereo bluetooth support along with video recording and camera options and mush more its too muc to list. The main atrraction is the expandability which January you will see a lot of what it can do it was a rush device T-Mobile probably wanted to get it out for a ton of reasons but because of that a lot codes wasn’t ready for the OS so therefore it didn’t have a lot of the functions we wanted but updates are great and the sidekick although a wonderful phone it takes a whole nother device ot months before something is added or fixed please understand I’m not bashing either phone they have pros and cons to everything just giving constructive critcism.
P.S. If you leave the sidekick data plan and comeback to it then you will get the new price also I’m not sure so don’t quote me but the price change may be for all users and if so they would let you out of your contract for free I’m sure since they can’t raise rates like that while you agree to a certain price in the contract but 3G is very expensive and in Q3 of ’09 it should be almost everywhere and T-Mobile no longer has an upgrade fee so they look like there on the right track.

I don’t think the ‘Zune Phone’ is going to make it to CES. But I think this ‘Sidekick Zune’ or ‘Project Pink’ will make it to CES. The new Sidekick is just a sidekick with zune features. It’s not like they’re making a actual Zune Phone like the iPhone. Technically, ‘Pink’ still has a chance for showing up at CES in January. Not the ‘Zune Phone’.

G1 is wack…a cheap copy of the sidekick with a touch screen … waiting to see what microsoft does with the sidekick should be interesting its really do or die at this point either it brings something new to the table or it flops but thats the same with anything else regardless…
but next sidekick will be 3G hence the new price on sidekick plan…so
