Snoop Dogg Sidekick II Commercial
Here’s a blast from the past. It’s the old Snoop Dogg Sidekick II commercial. It reminds me of a terrible joke:
Q: What does Snoop use to wash his clothes?
A: Bleeeyaaach
You can check out some other Sidekick commercials, including the old Johnny Chase ones in our previous post on Sidekick commercials.

I didn’t never had literally any issues actually with the II. To me it was the most dependable.

Loved my sk2, only problem I had was the scoll wheel stopped working one day but I got a new one to exchange by the end of the week, and that one lasted me up until the sidekick 3 was being replaced, the radio died.
I had a SK3 for a week and sent it back, that thing was horrible compared to my SK2 and not worth $300
Had a samsung trace for a couple months, good “normal” cell phone, tiny as hell, easy OS.
Then got a slide last january for $50! Went through 6 of them in ~2 months! this 7th has lasted me since though with no problems, I cannot complain much since it only cost $50 less the money I got for selling my Trace

wow people going through 7 sidekicks. I don’t think its the phone that’s wrong because i has the 2 when it first came out and i had no problems with it at all. Then i had the 3 no problems and now the Lx no problems. So if your going through multiple number of sidekicks, i think you should take better care of them

I remember most of those commercials, they really need to step it up and ADVERTISE the sidekick.

I’ve had my SK3 for almost a year and a half now, no problems at all. It seems like a durable phone although I can tell that the swivel action is starting to wear. It freezes sometimes but all I have to do is shut it off then turn it back on and presto it starts working again. The phone is OK overall, but I won’t be getting another SK when my contract is over. Sorry guys unless there is going to be a new SK with touchscreen and a new OS by July I’ll probably be looking at a Blackberry.

Wow. Six Sidekicks in 2 months?
Way to take care of your phones…
That’s ridiculous.

The sidekick 2 was a really durable phone. The keyboard was really nice until the buttons started falling off of it. Lol I went through 3 sidekick 2’s I believe. I loved how we had the fake mp3 function where could have songs sent to our sidekicks via tmail and via sidekicktones.com and listen to the songs while doing other things on our phone. Great phone. I missed it..but I’m not going to lie. The sidekick 3 was a much better device and well worth the $300 in my opinion. The sidekick LX was too. Each device was a huge step up from the previous device. But like everyone else, the only thing SK can do to keep me coming back is put in a touch screen and newer technology.
