Customer Appreciation = Free Stuff in the Download Catalog
Remember how back in October you had a little bit of trouble with your Sidekick? Well T-Mobile continues to do their best to make it up to the people that stuck with the Sidekick through those troubling times. You probably got a free month of data service for October, several of you got $100 $50 cards that you can use to pay your bill or upgrade your phone, and now T-Mobile has put some free stuff in the Catalog to show their appreciation of you as a customer.
If you jump into the Download Catalog (which has thankfully returned), there’s a section at the bottom called “Customer Appreciation”. We haven’t checked the other devices, but on the Sidekick LX 2009 it contains Twitter, 2010 NFL, Animated Screensavers, Crossword HQ packs, Prank Box packs, Sudoku HQ packs, a couple of Backgrounds and Themes, and a handful of Sound FXs. I was able to go and look for what free stuff was there and download but if u do a soft reset with the keys 1 @ 0 and hold it might come up, I see a new menu now:-)

Yes on my SK LX07 it has NFL 2010 free and Twitter Free. (Twitter used to be a paid app)

Not that I don’t appreciate the gesture. But some of the free apps, I don’t really want to use. They could have put up some decent apps like the sidekick sync or the GPS enhancer. And I still haven’t gotten my bookmarks. This sucks!!

They should remain free after Dec 11, no apps should have reoccuring fees or any of that.I can’t see y they would make anything free if they’re jus gonna charge us later on.

If history is a guide, the items are free to download until Dec 11 and after that they will not be free to download, but those who download the items while they are free will not later be charged for them.

The twitter app seems to be free but will there be a monthly charge like it was before? I’ve been looking everywhere but cant seem to get an answer. thanks.

i downloaded the twitter but the twitter app for the sidekick is gay instead i go on dabr.co.uk its much better than the sidekick Twitter and u can do alot more like Twitpic and all of that
and alos btw the monkey sound affect is hilarious downoad it lol

Yeah I wish there was more useful stuff but Sudoko and crossword is good and two themes. I did download phototwist and it was free, don’t know about comiclab but neither one is free now.

are you serious? thats how tmobile plans to make things better by letting us download cr*ppya*s themes and sounds that no one bothered to download in the first place? this is beyond low if anything they should let us download some ringtones for free but instead they give us monkey sounds and donkey noises. F*CK YOU TMOBILE definitely cancelling my contract with you guys and going to AT&T getting an iphone or blackberry bold.

it is DANGER/Microsoft making these decisions, not t-Mobile. T-Mobile doesnt have anything to do with the danger Catalog, except what Items may violate their current contract.

Everything I have tried that says FREE or is new in the catalog come up with an error and says Not Available……is it ever going to actually work? Wish we could get free ring tones like dang near every other phone…or themes, and use our OWN pics instead of having to pay to use my own as screensavers. Oh, one more thing…I have never had a phone that didn’t have an alarm, just one I have to pay for. Really??
